Our two runners; Arizona Bound at Hexham and Scales Of Justice at Kelso both ran races full of promise to be second. Chanceiton could not run at Hexham due to an infected leg.
Arizona Bound lept back into form with a staying on effort to go down by three lengths to the winner. Arizona seems to love the good ground and while not the fastest he has plenty of resilience and deserves to win again.
At Kelso Scales Of Justice stepped up on his summer form when second to the odds-on winner. Our four year old's jumping can still be improved upon with more experience and he has plenty of scope to progress. He is still immature in many ways but enjoyed his time in the new Kelso winners enclosure, pictured.
Having had twenty runners at Perth ten days ago we have had a quiet week and it looks to be similar before next Saturday's Hexham meeting. However, with plenty going on at home we will be kept busy preparing horses.
Back in work tomorrow are the youngsters Bollingerandkrug, the three year old Getaway, and the un-named four year old by Crosspeace; both have had a short break and look well and strong for it.
